H.O.G. We, the HOGs of Østfold, are pleased to welcome you all to the National Rally of 2014 and to our beautiful city of Halden! During the Rally we’ll have the old and mighty Fredriksten fortress watching over us, while most of the Rally’s events will take place “Below the Fortress”. Below the fortress you’ll find charming Halden with its cobbled streets, large and small shops and friendly restaurants. In town you can walk along the riverside and also have a look at the city’s marina.hogLogo
Halden, a city of historical importance, will once again be at the center of action when the National Rally of 2014 fires up its engines. Close by you can experience the Fredriksten fortress, one of Norway’s most visited tourist attractions, or you can go boating up Halden Canal and the Brekke locks, which are the highest locks in Northern Europe. You can take a ride across the Svinesund-bridge and experience the beautiful view as you cross the border to Sweden. And while in Sweden: Do some shopping at Nordby, one of the largest shopping centers in Northern Europe.
Should historical sites, nature, charm, shopping or walking the streets of Halden not be quite enough, you can also relax at the Rally’s meeting area where different events and activities will take place. Since Halden is known for its AM-car enthusiasts, our Rally would not be complete unless they too visited us and showed us some of their finest automobiles. See you there!
